01 — The problem

Most products don't fail because of a bad idea. They fail in the gap between design, backend, and data.

A slow API undermines a good interface. An unvalidated dataset undermines a good model. A missing permission check undermines everything. I work across the full stack specifically to close those gaps myself, rather than hand them off at every seam.

Frontend

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion

Backend

Node.js, Express, Prisma, PostgreSQL, REST & SSE APIs

ML / Data

Python, FastAPI, scikit-learn, pandas — training and serving models

Engineering

Auth & RBAC, Docker, CI-friendly structure, Vercel deploys

02 — The journey

Two years of shipping real code for real teams.

Sep 2025 – Nov 2025

Backend Developer Intern

Apex Technology Hub & Services Limited, Awka

  • Built and maintained RESTful APIs in Node.js and Express, agreeing request/response contracts with the frontend team up front to eliminate integration rework.
  • Implemented JWT and bcrypt authentication across protected routes — token issuance, session validation, and secure password storage.
  • Designed relational schemas and optimised SQL queries for full CRUD functionality, indexing frequently filtered columns to keep read times stable as data grew.

Aug 2021 – Sep 2023

Frontend Developer

Elegant Computers

  • Translated design mockups into responsive, cross-browser interfaces across a range of client-facing web projects.
  • Built a reusable React component set with hooks-based state management, shortening build time on each new page.
  • Implemented mobile-first layouts verified down to 320px width, and profiled page performance in Chrome DevTools to cut render-blocking requests.

Education

B.Sc. Computer Science

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka

Expected Aug 2027

CGPA 4.41 / 5.0 — First Class Honours (in progress).

03 — The proof

ThreatGuard AI

Machine learning threat intelligence for big-data security

Problem

Security teams drown in log volume long before they can act on it. Raw firewall and network events carry signal, but turning that signal into a Safe / Suspicious / Malicious call — fast enough to matter — means owning the full path from ingestion to inference to the analyst's screen.

Approach

  1. 01Generated ~15,000 label-conditioned synthetic security logs so the model learns real attack signal — failed logins, unusual ports, packet size, VPN state — rather than noise.
  2. 02Trained a scikit-learn pipeline (one-hot encoding + a 250-tree RandomForestClassifier) on an 80/20 stratified split, and shipped it behind a FastAPI service exposing /predict, /predict/batch, and /metrics.
  3. 03Built the Node/Express API layer to persist every prediction to PostgreSQL via Prisma, enforce JWT auth with role-based access (Admin / Analyst / Viewer), and stream live-traffic scoring over SSE.
  4. 04Shipped the Next.js dashboard: threat detection, live monitoring feed, ML performance charts (confusion matrix, ROC/AUC, feature importance), geo attack maps, alerting, and PDF/CSV reporting.

Result

A working full-stack + ML systems prototype: JWT/RBAC-secured API, a trained classifier serving real-time predictions, and a SOC-style interface — including a live command palette and a rule-based threat assistant — built on live backend data end to end.
